Dear Friend,
The August district work period provides an excellent opportunity for us to meet with constituents and local leaders in Minnesota. This week we hit the ground running with some great meetings back home. Read on to learn more…
Earlier in the week, we had the chance to visit the Anoka County Emergency Communications Center. While there we had the opportunity to tour the center, speak with some of the emergency dispatchers, and sit down with Kari Morrissey, Department Director of the Anoka County Emergency Communications Center, and members of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners.
During our conversation, we discussed the important role our emergency dispatchers play in keeping our communities safe and how we can work together to ensure they have the resources and training they need to do their jobs effectively.
We also had the chance to visit the Local 417 United Association of Sprinkler Fitters, Pipefitters, and Plumbers Apprenticeship Training Center. While there, we spoke with some of their apprentices and toured their training facilities.
As we continue to see skilled labor shortages nationwide, investing in on-the-job educational and technical training opportunities is essential. It was great to meet with the Local 417 leadership team and many young adults who have begun their apprenticeship programs and are on their way to becoming skilled tradesmen and women.
Finally, our casework office hours are continuing throughout August! If you are struggling to get clarity on a tax issue with the IRS or are facing delays in receiving a passport for an upcoming trip, let our casework team cut through the red tape and help get you results!
If you are unable to make it, you can always get help by calling our office in Otsego at (763) 241-6848 or our Chaska office at (952) 262-2999.
Sincerely,
|
