Hello John, Variety. Choices. Infinite combinations. That’s AFP’s vision for YOUR healthcare needs. Everyone has different healthcare needs, so we reject “vanilla” one-size-fits-all healthcare. Imagine if shopping for health care was like walking into your favorite ice cream shop. You can pick the flavor that you like best. You can mix and match with other options as you please. And you know what you’re going to pay. And all we have now is plain vanilla. That was the message we delivered to members of Congress and their staff last week through a series of events highlighting how the Personal Option delivers more choices than an ice cream parlor. Joining us were two outstanding doctors, Dr. Josh Umbehr and Dr. Jules Madrigal, who practice insurance-free healthcare, an exciting element of the Personal Option. Dr. Umbehr told us about all the ways he saves his patients money on healthcare – including prescription drugs. “I can’t remember how many election cycles we’ve talked about the government working to lower prescription drug prices, and they still can’t get them lower than I can,” said Dr. Umbehr. “Government’s not bad. It’s just bad at it,” he said. Also joining us was Congressman Pete Sessions, whose Healthcare Fairness for all Act would offer families personal tax credits to pay for health care while expanding access to tax-advantaged Health Savings Accounts. “We need a Personal Option to put patients and providers back in the driver’s seat,” said Congressman Sessions. Click here to see what you missed, including a cool video we put together of the events. If personalized healthcare resonates with you, then please take a moment to tell Congress that you support the Personal Option. We are hoping to get another 728 signatures by the end of the day. Can you please use your voice to advocate for better healthcare? |
