Dear Neighbor,
As a long time advocate for STEM education for the young men and women of our nation, I am ceaselessly amazed by the imaginative potential of our young people when they are given the tools they need to succeed. And there are few opportunities for expressing that profound talent greater than the Congressional App Challenge.
If your child is a middle or high school student in New York's 9th District with an interest in STEM, I encourage them to participate in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge that tasks participants with creating their own app! Winners will be invited to Washington D.C. and will have their works displayed in the United States Capitol.
