[[link removed]]Dear friend,

Our country, our cities, and our lives have been brought to a halt these past
few months, but the Trump administration and the U.S. Supreme Court have not
slowed down.

Just a few days ago, President Trump halted all immigration to the United States
in an attempt to blame and dehumanize immigrant families by labeling them as the
“other”—an attempt we must reject. And any day now our highest court is set to
announce its decision on the Trump administration’s efforts to terminate the
DACA program, under which almost 700,000 people who migrated to the U.S. as
children were able to receive work permits and protection from deportation.

As people of faith, our call to advocate with and for immigrants and refugees
has not diminished in the time of the new coronavirus —and neither has the urgent need to respond to injustices. We must remain
vigilant and act quickly.

We are living and working in uncertain times, but we must continue our work for
the long haul – and we need you with us. Will you join us?

[[link removed]]Our undocumented siblings are modeling how we will get through this pandemic—by
prioritizing our community, remaining flexible, and doing whatever it takes to
best care for one another. Nearly 30,000 DACA recipients are health care workers
fighting the coronavirus pandemic. More than 200,000 DACA beneficiaries are
essential workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. And we at Sojourners are trying to follow their model and encourage others to
do the same.

Our work—including our support for DACA—will only continue in the time of the
new coronavirus if we have the strength, support, and solidarity of our
Sojourners community. As we shift our work online to protect ourselves and the
most vulnerable from the virus, we must remain nimble in order to provide our
rapid response work where it is most needed.

We need a reliable source of monthly support—and members of our Sustainers
Circle are our most dependable source of funding each month.

Now more than ever, the monthly supporters of our Sustainers Circle are
critically important. Help us remain flexible in these times and join today.
