Dear Democrats,
We’re reaching out about Donald Trump’s childish meltdown at the recent National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference where he made these horrific comments [[link removed]] about Kamala Harris’ race:.
“She was always of Indian heritage and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she turned Black , and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?”
Not only that, in the same discussion, Trump also referred to the Vice President as a “ DEI hire, ” completely dismissing the hard work and accomplished career of one of the most prominent black women in our country’s history.
Vice President Harris has never shied away from her mixed-race heritage and the fact that her father is Jamaican. Vice President Harris went to Howard University, one of the excellent historically black colleges in our country. Even though this is just the latest example of divisive language in Trump’s imploding campaign, Democrats cannot stand idly by while such divisive and inflammatory rhetoric goes unchallenged .
