It’s official, John! Vice President Kamala Harris has secured the Democratic nomination and is now the first Black and South Asian woman to lead the presidential ticket. I am so proud to support her in this race.
Now, the real work begins.
Recently, Donald Trump hosted a rally in Florida and said something that was truly terrifying:
“Get out and vote, just this time you won’t have to do it any more. Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine, you won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians.”
This comes after his comments at the National Rifle Association (NRA) convention in Dallas, where he discussed wanting to be a three-term president.
We have a choice: Elect Trump, who has made it clear that he will dismantle our democracy, or elect VP Harris, who will fight for progress and move our nation forward.
As a Cuyahoga County Council member and Chairwoman of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, Shontel Brown has spent the last decade serving the people of Ohio and building coalitions. Now, as the Congresswoman for Ohio’s 11th District, she will fight for affordable quality health care, jobs that pay fair wages, a strong public education system, and equity and justice for all. Will you join her and be the change we need?
