Friend,
Cesar has dreamed of becoming a doctor since he was eight years old. He is currently in the middle of an M.D.-Ph.D. program that will make that dream a reality, and allow him to contribute to our healthcare workforce — but only if the DACA program stays in place.
Like so many other health care workers, Cesar depends on DACA to continue following his lifelong dream of helping sick and suffering people. There are nearly 30,000 DACA recipients working in the healthcare industry right now, many of whom are on the frontlines helping our nation survive the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, nearly one-third of all DACA recipients are essential workers, filling critical jobs in hospitals, grocery stores, and more.
The Supreme Court may rule at any point between now and June on the Trump Administration’s cruel decision to terminate the DACA program. Hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients, like Cesar, may be ripped out of their communities and deported from the only country most of them have ever known — even in the middle of a global pandemic.
Watch and share Cesar’s story now to stand with our immigrant family, friends, and neighbors who dream of giving back to the communities they love.

DACA recipients on the frontlines of this pandemic are risking their lives to protect our communities while living with incredible stress and uncertainty about the future of DACA. Without DACA, Cesar will not be able to continue his M.D.-Ph.D. program, and his dream of becoming a licensed physician will be lost. And the nearly 200,000 DACA recipients who are essential workers will be at risk of losing their homes, their jobs, and their loved ones.
The DACA program has benefited not only the hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients themselves but our nation as a whole, and that fact has never been more evident than now. DACA recipients and all immigrant essential workers must be protected and allowed to continue their vital work in our communities.
Share Cesar’s story now. All immigrant workers in America must be protected, now and in the future.

Cesar wants to keep working hard so he can perform life-saving medical research because his home is here. We must continue to fight for his right to stay.
