John,

While everyone else is out on summer break, the Supreme Court is still hard at work finding ways to harm our environment.

We want to make sure you’re aware of a case that has come up on their “shadow docket” — and yes, that’s actually what they call it! Right now, they are considering whether to halt the EPA’s new power plant rule that sets emission limits for coal and gas-fired power plants from going into effect until they decide if they like it or not.

We can’t let the conservatives on the Supreme Court sneak this by while no one is paying attention! Will you donate now to help us fight back if and when the Supreme Court decides to let these power plants pollute our air scot-free? [[link removed]]

HELP US FIGHT BACK [[link removed] ]Unfortunately, that’s not all. The Supreme Court is also teeing up their next environmental cases for the new term that starts in October 2024.

This includes a major new water pollution case that’s challenging the EPA’s ability to write and enforce water pollution permits, which will be one the first cases the Justices consider when the new term begins.

Will you donate now so we can be prepared as possible to fight back against any and all attacks on our environment by this ultra-conservative Supreme Court? [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here [[link removed]] to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe: [link removed] .
