The 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update was transmitted to the County Council in eight ordinances earlier this year, and County staff presented additional detail to the Council at four separate Planning and Community Development Committee meetings. Now that the briefings are complete, the County Council will hold a public hearing, scheduled for August 19. This is an opportunity for the council to receive further public input about the Comprehensive Plan Update. Read more...

Before the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update can be adopted by the County Council, the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) requires that the County analyze the potential environmental impacts from the Update and reasonable alternatives to mitigate potential adverse effects. Read more...
