Friends,
Now that we’re officially in the General Election, now that Kari Lake is officially our opponent here in Arizona, I wanted to level with you about why I decided to run for U.S. Senate in the first place.
Most of you know I served in the Marines.
What you might not know is that the battalion I served in lost more Marines than any other in Iraq.
Every day on patrol was a crap shoot. But I got through it because of the guys I went through it with. I talk about it here, in one of the first advertisements my campaign put out:
After we got home, I knew I needed to step up and be a brother and a friend to them. I knew that I had to figure out how to get them services, disability pay, recognition.
And after I went to Congress, I started to learn all too well that it wasn’t just the guys I served with who were falling through the cracks. It’s every day Arizonans, it’s moms and dads struggling to make ends meet. It’s women who are seeing their rights taken away. It’s kids growing up like I did who don’t see a future.
More than anything else, that is why I am running for U.S. Senate. To help my community.
It’s not lost on me that Arizona is one of the most important states in the country. That this will be one of the most expensive campaigns of the cycle. And that to defeat Kari Lake, to defeat Trump, to stop the MAGA-right from advancing their agenda, we MUST win here in Arizona.
But I can’t do that alone. Never could.
So, I’m humbly asking you: Can you chip in to my campaign and become one of our very first General Election donors? These early days are critical to our chances at success this November.
