** Dear John,
------------------------------------------------------------
We’re reaching out today to make sure you’ve heard the news: TT has updated #USvsHate, our anti-hate messaging challenge, to better address the needs of distance learning.

We’ve extended the submission deadline to May 1, so your students still have time to participate in this spring’s challenge. And submissions can now be entered by families and caregivers, as well as educators.

To join the challenge, students can create anti-hate messages in any medium. Your students’ families—or you—can submit up to three messages as entries in the national #USvsHate challenge. Winning entries will be shared with participants nationwide.

Despite the changes, the goal of #USvsHate is the same as it’s always been: to stand up against bigotry and create safe and welcoming communities. The steps of the challenge are the same, too. Educators find and share lessons about bigotry by using the program’s robust anti-bias resource bank. Students create entries, and a trusted adult submits them to the challenge.

To learn more about #USvsHate, check out our recommendations ([link removed]) for participating in the challenge.

We can’t wait to hear what your students have to say.
