An ethics watchdog has asked the Michigan Inspector General to investigate Democratic congressional candidate Curtis Hertel, Jr., scion of one of Michigan’s most powerful political families, for corruption.

After being forced out of the Michigan Senate because of term limits, Hertel became Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s chief lobbyist and the architect of Michigan’s $82 billion budget-busting budget.

Among the political payoffs to Whitmer’s allies, Hertel secured $1.5 million for a politically-connected non-profit and then took a $108,000 contract from them the next day before announcing his run for Congress.

Voters are tired of pay-to-play politicians who abuse the system, and rob taxpayers for their own benefit.

There are just 95 days until the election and Governor Whitmer and billionaires from Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and Manhattan, are pumping millions into Corrupt Curtis’s campaign.
