Jen Kiggans (VA-02) released a new TV ad focused on her long history of serving Virginia and our country. Kiggans is a former Navy helicopter pilot and a geriatric nurse practitioner who has spent her time in Congress on issues like delivering for veterans and working to bring down costs. Tuesday Earlier this summer, Reps. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) and Celeste Maloy (UT-02) introduced legislation to streamline the federal permitting process by instituting a ‘permit-by-rule’ (PBR) system. The Full Responsibility and Expedited Enforcement (FREE) Act "directs federal agencies to evaluate their permits and report to Congress within 240 days with an assessment of whether permit-by-rule can replace their current systems or make a thorough justification otherwise." The two penned an op-ed that makes the case for passing their proposed reforms. Wednesday WFW PAC-backed Leslie Lewallen (WA-03) reminded voters in her district that her primary election is less than a week away: Tuesday, August 6. This is a conservative-leaning district, and if Leslie has the opportunity to take on Gluesenkamp Perez, she can definitely win it back. Thursday WFW PAC-backed Mary Draves (MI-08) spoke with local media ahead of her primary next Tuesday, August 6 about the importance of border security and energy independence: "'First and foremost, shut [the border] down. The second thing is, you know, make sure that we’re enforcing the policies that we have and fixing the ones that aren’t helping us control both our southern and our northern borders. I think that we’ve become too reliant on foreign oil under the [President Joe] Biden administration.
