Hello Comrades,

Yesterday at our July General Meeting, a proposed resolution was presented asking for us to partner with Summa is Not For Sale to fight the sale of Summa Health System to a venture capital firm. I encourage you to read through this resolution.

This a good opportunity for our chapter to support a major employer in our city, as well as an important healthcare supplier. We want to do whatever is in our power to fight against the destruction that such a sale would cause. The main purpose of this resolution is to provide our resources with the Summa is Not for Sale group, such as ActionNetwork. But there will also be opportunities for our chapter to get involved in this fight.

After reading through the resolution, please vote here on whether our chapter should or should not proceed. This vote will be open for a week, and the poll will close on 8/8 at midnight. Also please note that you can only vote if you are a dues-paying member in good standing. Please take the time to vote! We want to hear from you about where you want our energy as a chapter to go.
