**Dallas HERO Initiative Achieves Ballot Access**

**The Dallas City Charter could see massive changes following the November election this year.** Dallas voters will have the opportunity to change the direction of Dallas for the better. Due in part to the Dallas HERO Initiative which introduced three different City Charter amendments that will force the City to finally address the public safety crisis.

The Dallas HERO Initiative amendments up for a vote on the November Ballot are:??

*

**Police Funding**-????fixing the pension system and providing adequate funding to hire 1,000 more new police officers at a competitive salary.

*

**City Leader Accountability**- requires a survey of the City on the city manager's performance; if the results are bad for the city manager, they must be fired.????

*

**Enforcement**- allow a private citizen to sue the City if its laws set out in the City Charter are not enforced.??

**Dallas has been given a lifeline in these amendments and the voters will be able to change the course of our city by registering to vote!**We need you to make sure you are registered to vote for the November election by using the button below.

**Don't stop there, ask your family members and friends to register to vote today- we have a city to save!**

**ICYMI:** Last week, Joseph went live on Harry Hines Boulevard, where he found a homeless encampment behind a local restaurant. This camp has been there for months now, and the city has not provided any relief for the restaurant owners.

**Watch the live stream to see how this encampment has impacted the area around the restaurant.**

**District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno**

**"Dirty Ponds**

**Camp"**

This camp in Jesse Moreno's District 2 has been dubbed "Dirty Ponds Camp." If you find yourself on Harry Hines Boulevard, you will find this camp behind a restaurant known as 'Original Market Diner.'

**A great place to stop and eat that has been under siege by these vagrants for years. Unbelievable!**

**District 1 Councilman Chad West**

**"Underpass Blues Camp"**

This camp in Chad West's District 1 has earned the title "Underpass Blues Camp." The vagrants here have taken a residence at this underpass with their dog. Many vagrants will use their dogs or even their children to elicit a compassionate response.

**Remember, you should never give these people your money, you will only be feeding their bad habits.**

**District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno**

**"Interstate Trash**

**??Camp"**

We named this camp in Jesse Moreno's District 2 "Interstate Trash Camp." Living on the edge of the interstate is not safe. These camps should be decommissioned immediately. Instead, the Dallas City Council allows these vagrants to flourish in these spots and only make the city more dangerous.

**Enforcement must begin ASAP!**

**Mission Statement:**

Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
