Green PNC Keynote Speaker: Margaret
Kimberley of Black Agenda Report
Margaret Kimperely, executive editor and senior columnist of Black
Agenda Report, will be the keynote speaker at the Green Party's
Presidential Nominating Convention, which will take place online from
Thursday, August 15 to Saturday, August 18. Ms. Kimberley will speak
on Saturday, August 17, before Green delegates nominate the party's
presidential candidate . . . . "The Green Party is again proving
itself to be indispensable as the duopoly parties collude on
austerity, war, and ecological assaults," said Margaret Kimberley.
"The people are told to support massive defense budgets, genocides,
their own immiseration, cop cities, and climate change caused by
fossil fuel production. Only the Green Party provides voters with a
pathway for change and for the very survival of humanity." READ THE FULL STORY

Imagine Bilbo Baggins Refusing to Give up the Ring
of Power. That's Joe Biden
Dianne Carroll
(Allegheny) says, “So they replace the doddering old guy with someone
who's going to continue the same genocidal, environmentally
destructive, dgaf about poor people policies. Makes no difference to
me. I'll still be voting for Jill Stein.” READ

U.S. Congress Owes $270,000 to Jill
Stein
“Democrats and Republicans in Congress
stole taxpayer donations for grassroots presidential campaigns to fund
the Secret Service and now won't pay [the Green Party]. They did this
quietly with the $1.2 trillion bill to avoid government shutdown. When
you do your taxes, you can check a box to donate $3 for the
Presidential Matching Fund. To help grassroots political movements,
Congress has a Presidential Matching Fund to allow taxpayers to opt
into matching the donations that Presidential candidates receive...If
you checked the $3 box, you should be upset right now.”

Green Party Celebrates Assange's Release, says Journalists
Still at Risk
The Green Party of the United States
welcomes the news of Julian Assange's release from Belmarsh maximum
security prison in London and return to Australia . . . . "The charges
against Assange not only threatened press freedom everywhere, they
gave license to tyrants like Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to brag
about their war crimes and to target journalists," said Jason Call,
candidate for the US House of Representatives from Washington's 2nd
Congressional District. READ THE FULL STORY

Dems for Democracy — But Only if You Vote for
Them
With polls showing that Americans aren’t
enamored of the Biden administration’s failed immigration and economic
policies, Democrats have opted to direct attention to Donald Trump and
his supposed danger to “democracy.” Fair enough, but while
progressives repeatedly tout the virtues of “democracy” — apparently
unaware that the nation was founded as a democratic republic, not a
pure democracy — they also fight persistently to limit the choices
available to voters. In Nevada last week, the [Democratic] Party filed
suit in Carson City to prevent the Green
Party from placing a candidate, likely Jill
Stein, on the state’s November presidential ballot. Nationally,
Democrats also aggressively tried to keep a possible No Labels
candidate from appearing before voters and have made efforts in
various states to block Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from ballots.
Apparently, democracy can be saved only by curtailing democracy.

Biden: "We beat Medicare." Green Party: "Enact Medicare
For All now."
In the wake of President Joe Biden's
inexplicable "We beat Medicare" during the CNN debate on Thursday,
June 27, the Green Party of the U.S. reiterated its support for
single-payer universal health care . . . . OpenSecrets, which tracks
financial contributions to political parties and candidates, reports
millions of dollars from insurance companies and the private health
sector for Democrats and Republicans, with Democrats receiving more.
The Green Party and Green candidates accept no contributions from
corporations or PACs. Green congressional candidates will work to
enact expanded and improved Medicare For All if elected and also
repair deficiencies in current proposed legislation such as the role
for private insurance companies, which Greens would
eliminate.
