Hi John,
We’re highlighting several races as we head into the primary on Aug. 13 and the General Election on Nov. 5!
This election cycle is unique. And critical. The first under newly redrawn voting maps, this election offers an opportunity for Wisconsinites to make their voices heard louder than in more than a decade under gerrymandered maps.
This week we’re highlighting the race in Assembly District 14, where we have endorsed Angelito Tenorio in the Assembly District 14 primary.
Angelito is a true conservation champion who will advocate for clean water, clean energy, and an accessible, equitable democracy. He is running a fantastic campaign rooted in environmental justice and community. Angelito also earned our endorsement and won a seat on the West Allis city council. We’re thrilled he’s now taking his experience and values into this legislative race.
On his campaign website [[link removed]] , Angelito said, “Protecting the environment and fighting climate change is my top issue. I believe that we must do everything we can to protect and preserve Wisconsin's natural beauty. We must invest in our incredible parks and recreational areas. I promise to fight for clean air, clean land, and clean water for all people. We must accelerate our transition to 100 percent clean energy and promote good paying green union jobs for a sustainable infrastructure and a green economy.”
He also lists clean drinking water as a top conservation issue in AD 14, especially lead contamination.
“I believe that the legislature needs to provide local communities like West Allis with the resources they need to fix our water supply and modernize our infrastructure,” he said.
Angelito sees the bigger picture and is a committed advocate for policy that will protect Wisconsin for future generations. We’re excited and proud to endorse him for Assembly District 14 in the spring primary election on Aug. 13.
