This year is sailing by in a flash and the Autistic Self Advocacy Network team has been hard at work creating resources for self-advocates, offering trainings, and pushing for stronger policy to protect our rights!
Where April took us back to the Jurassic as pint-sized prehistoric dinosaurs took over the ASAN office, August is getting aquatic as there have been whale sightings across ASAN’s computers. Drawn by our whale-wishers monthly giving tier, these finned friends surf the web instead of the seas and are hungry from their long journey to our corner of the internet.
What do internet whales eat?
Well it turns out, these whales eat news about advocacy and policy work! Internet whales eat as much as their aquatic companions, but thanks to the support of our community, we have plenty of advoca-sea work to report on!
Throughout the month of August, expect to spot these digital whales coming up for air in our August donation emails, as they comb through our important updates on what ASAN has been up to so far in 2024. Like these:
We are doing our best to keep these whales entertained and off our social media and other emails, but a couple may slip through, so keep your eyes peeled! These whales are clever and considerate even if they have an eye for mischief, so they have at least agreed not to graze on our action alerts.
