It’s National Poll Worker Recruitment Day!

This election cycle has been one wild rollercoaster (or pollercoaster, if you will) ride, and Election Day is less than 100 days away. Can you believe it?

Now, we know you guys are probably too cool to have your November plans locked in already, but… hear us out. What if you carve out some time on Tuesday November 5th to be at the center of the action?

Besides voting (and getting your friends, family, and frenemies to vote), one of the most important things you can do on November 5th is help keep elections fair and safe by being a poll worker! Because you need both.

Poll workers are the heart of the electoral process, yet there has been a nationwide shortage for years. According to Pew Research Center, most states had less than 8 poll workers per polling location in 2022. We can do much better than that.

Poll workers are essential for safe, reliable in-person voting – without poll workers, polling places close and voting delays spike! They help set up voting machines and monitor ballot collection, and even get to hand out those iconic “I voted” stickers. The more poll workers we have trained and ready for Election Day, the safer and faster voting will be for everyone.

In particular, there is a real need for poll workers in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, New York and Michigan, but even if you don't live in these states, we encourage you to sign up!
