We marked International Tiger Day this year by launching a new online tool to help better protect tigers and Asian big cats. After EIA joined a meeting of the CITES Big Cats Task Force in Uganda last year, it became apparent there was a gap in big cat crime trends analysis. Data specialist Go Insight had already initiated a dedicated big cats data centre and we saw the value of adding information from a decade’s worth of our research, resulting in the launch of the Catbyte website by Go Insight.
Regular visitors will notice a few changes to our website in the coming weeks as we roll out a fresh look and other updates in the countdown to our 40th anniversary in September. Check back on the website for these and other updates as they happen!
EIA has co-created the new Methane Matters coalition, together with experienced European NGOs, in a bid to put pressure on the European Union to address the climate-harming methane emissions associated with its energy imports of coal, gas and oil.
