Dear John,

The Zoo2U application process MAY have been approved!

The council met yesterday to discuss the planning application for the new zoo in Cheshire. We really thought we'd be able to give you some good news about this as early news reports indicated it would be refused for a third time.

However, unfortunately the council have voted to approve the plans despite this being against the recommendations of planning officers. It may still need approval by the higher strategic planning board, which may be subject to legal advice.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to send in an objection. We will continue to do all we can to stop this zoo from going ahead and will keep you informed of any further decisions.

In slightly better news, I also wanted to share with you our newest animal adoptions to join our team. Please welcome Brenda and George!
Please welcome, Brenda and George, our newest adoptions.
Whilst our adoptions add some sparkle and cuteness to our work and help raise vital funds for animals in captivity, they also help spread the stories of the individuals used in the entertainment industries.

🐙 Brenda the octopus who was help captive in Brighton Sea Life, her sad story if one of heartbreak and desperation. Desperation to escape the tiny tank she found herself confined to.

🦎 Whilst gorgeous George the chameleon is a victim of the mobile zoo industry. He is transported around the country day after day to entertain the paying public, never knowing a real home.

Grab your new adoption today, or check out the other members of our adoption family, who include Kate the elephant, Noco the sloth and Ronnie the owl.
