John,
AIPAC and their right-wing megadonor-funded super PAC spent over $20 million — the most money spent on a House primary in U.S. history — to replace me with a corporate, corrupt moderate last June. We can’t let the same thing happen to my sister in justice, Rep. Cori Bush.
Cori’s primary is rapidly approaching in less than one week, and she’s facing the same dark money attacks from the GOP millionaires and billionaires backing her faux-progressive opponent. They’ve already spent more than $12 million against her across the district, so it’s on us to stand up and say St. Louis is not for sale.
Cori is a progressive champion in so many ways, from holding a sit-in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to extend the eviction moratorium to being one of the first to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. But she’s also leading the fight for reproductive justice.
Her opponent, a former campaign manager for an anti-abortion extremist, continues to try and sell St. Louis to GOP funders. With abortion, birth control, and IVF under attack by far-right Republicans, especially in Missouri, we can’t afford to lose Cori’s fierce dedication to reproductive freedom in Congress at a time like this.
It’s been an honor to work alongside Cori in Congress, so I hope you’ll pitch in to help our grassroots movement overcome the obstacles and send her back to Washington to keep fighting for the people.
Peace and love,
Jamaal
