Hi John,

How are you? I want you to know that all of us here at OLCV are thinking of our members during this difficult time. I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we recently made the difficult decision to postpone our Annual Celebration for the Environment, originally planned for May 1st. This was a particularly tough decision in an election year, as this event is critical to funding our work electing and re-electing environmental champions to office, from city councils to statewide.

This is still going to be a big year for Oregon's environment, with elections coming up in May and November. We need your help ensuring that we have the resources we need to protect Oregon’s people, places, and planet when we need them: now.

We had a great program planned for the Annual Celebration and luckily a few of our planned speakers have agreed to join us virtually so you can watch along from the safety and comfort of your home.

On Friday, May 1st, we will release video interviews with several OLCV-endorsed candidates, and at 4pm I'll give you a special live preview of our election work. Grab your favorite Oregon wine or beer (shout-out to OLCV friend and sponsor Worthy Brewing) or another beverage of your choice and join us!

Our lives have been turned upside down, but our workprotecting Oregon’s environmental legacy, electing pro-environment candidates to office, and holding all of our elected officials accountablesimply can’t stop. We truly need you more now than ever.

Sincerely,
Doug Moore, Executive Director OLCV

Staying in touch via the Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ email list is the best way we have of keeping in regular contact with supporters like you and letting you know about the ways you can take action to protect the environment. You can unsubscribe from our supporter list, but if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved with OLCV and continue the work that you’ve been such a critical part of. OLCV wins environmental policy fights and elections because of dedicated activists like you, and we’d hate to see you go.
