Ohio Republicans are using their map drawing power to try to sway future elections so they can hold onto power in the future. Their actions show a flagrant disregard for democracy and amount to an attempt to engineer election outcomes. And Max Miller is on their side.

Let me be clear: I vehemently oppose efforts by lawmakers in either party to gerrymander Congressional districts. Gerrymandering is an attempt to engineer election outcomes, and the practice does not belong in a vibrant democracy.

I decided to run this campaign for Congress because I’m concerned about the future of American democracy. Our elected officials are feeding a climate of polarization and partisanship by prioritizing partisan gain over serving the people. I’m working to put a stop to this trend. I promise you that I will always prioritize what’s best for our democracy.
