Colorado Critical Races Initiative

The Colorado State Republican Party Officially Calls House District 16 one of its most critical races for Republicans in 2024;

Support Rebecca Keltie.

Rebecca Keltie is running to take the HD-16 back from radical progressive Stephanie Vigil, who hurts Colorado families.
DONATE Directly to Rebecca Keltie

Stephanie Vigil, HD-16 (El Paso County) is one of the most radical leftist legislators of all time in Colorado. Her policies reflect socialism, anti-business, anti-free market values, and a will to destroy Colorado and the families who live here.

Vigil, a self-described “mentally ill and non-binary” former Uber driver, sponsored “Non-Legal Name Changes,” the bill, now signed into law, that forces teachers to use pronouns for children to encourage them to be trans. Vigil has no children and says family is a “social construct.”

Having never signed a paycheck, Vigil hates business owners and landlords. She fought hard for SB23-184, “Protections for Tenants,” which placed arbitrary and sometimes insurmountable restrictions on what landlords can ask tenants, what they can charge tenants, etc. Vigil, when asked on the House floor if the bill would force many landlords to sell their properties, arrogantly replied, “Honestly, fine, go ahead and sell it to someone who’s going to follow our new laws.”

Vigil supported all anti-Second Amendment bills for the last two years, and she also spoke against Colorado Republicans’ attempts to filibuster. Vigil proclaimed, “filibusters threaten the legislature’s reputation as an effective form of government.” Vigil hates Republicans and America so much that she wants to limit debate on important legislation.

Vigil also voted against HB23-1135, “Penalty for Indecent Exposure in View of Minors,” which would have made sexual acts in front of children a felony. The Democrats, including Vigil, said the bill would “hurt drag shows.” Let that sink in; these radicals admit the quiet part out loud.

Stephanie Vigil supported House Bill 24-1071, which added sex changes to the definition of good cause for when a person convicted of a felony petitions to change their legal name, making it easier for men to commit felonies and then become women in order to hide from their criminal identities. Vigil does not work for Colorado families; she works for a small contingent of radicals who push wealth redistribution, socialism, and the sexual transitioning of Colorado children.

During the 2020 BLM riots, Vigil tweeted support for the rioters and encouraged anti-police violence. When a group of explorers tragically died in 2023 in an underwater submersible, Vigil took to Twitter to disparage the men who died, making fun of their wealth. Shortly thereafter, Vigil deleted her X account due to the nationwide backlash against her cruel and anti-American statements.

Like all Anti-Americans, Vigil is pro-illegal immigration. She co-sponsored HB23-1100, which became law and prevents Sheriffs and Police Officers from informing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of illegal immigrants who are in their custody and from detaining them until ICE can pick them up. Vigil protects illegal immigrants while endangering Colorado families. It is time for Stephanie Vigil to go back to “gig work” and stop making laws that endanger women and children across the state.

Rebecca Keltie is a 21-year retired veteran of the United States Navy committed to continuing her life-long service to our country. As the daughter of a Korean War veteran and a German (legal) immigrant, Rebecca was raised in a blue-collar family where hard work, perseverance, and love for our country was instilled from a very early age.

For Rebecca, running for House District 16 is a natural step to broadening her impact on our community. Colorado is at a crossroads where increased crime, including illegal immigration, impacts the safety of our communities. In addition, exorbitant taxes and inflation have resulted in an unaffordable Colorado, and parental rights are under attack by Keltie’s opponent Vigil and her comrades.

Rebecca’s vast work experience, effective ability to partner with multiple stakeholders, community engagement, and drive for success will help restore common sense leadership to Colorado

Rebecca will work for YOU to:

Ms. Keltie has been an active member of the community for several years. As someone who is highly involved in education, I (Darcy) have personally seen Rebecca at many El Paso County school board meetings, speaking for our children, against the progressive agenda, and helping Republicans get elected. Rebecca has long supported candidates across the state, knocking doors and making calls for anyone who asks for help. Rebecca doesn’t just talk the talk; she spends the vast majority of her time outside of work helping others.

Rebecca Keltie puts in the work to make Colorado sane again.

For Victory,
The Colorado GOP Leadership Team

Vigil’s agenda is clear: indoctrinating Colorado children, punishing business owners and landlords, taking more guns away from law-abiding Coloradans, and making it easier for criminals and to victimize us without penalty.

Rebecca Keltie is a hard-working Veteran, Mother, and community member who has been fighting for Colorado families for years. Now, it’s time we fight for her!
