What is the Redistricting Amendment About??? We STILL need YOUR Help Grassroots! Is their a Republican Party Office in Your County that is Open? It has come to our attention that many of Ohio’s 88 Counties do NOT have a Republican Party Office that is open to the public at least several days a week to serve as distribution points for candidate signs and materials. This is unacceptable because we must have a reliable organizational structure to ensure that we turnout EVERY VOTE POSSIBLE in Ohio to Elect ALL REPUBLICANS on the Ballot! This is particularly important in our rural counties where, this year, we must turn out the highest number of Republican votes in history in order to offset the dem votes, legitimate or not, in the five major urban areas of Ohio. So, I need YOU to check to see if your county Republican Party has an office at all and, if so, what days and times they are open to the public so that citizens can pickup yard signs and candidate materials. I need YOU to then send that information to me by sending an email to: [email protected] Please include the location of the Republican Party Office in your county. Please include the location of the Republican Party Office in your county. NOW, if you do NOT have a Republican Party Office that is open in your county, I ask you to RECRUIT a, or several, PATRIOTIC local businesses to serve as a county distribution point for signs and materials in your county! Give us the name(s) of the businesses and their contact information so that we can coordinate with them by sending an email to us at: [email protected]. We will then make their location known to candidates and the ORP so that they can bring signs and materials to their business to have on hand for citizens to pick up. THEN, we will put the entire Statewide List, by county, out to the general public so that they know where to go to get signs and info! If we do this, we will elect Bernie Moreno to the US Senate and throw out Leftist Sherrod Brown. If we do this we will take three US House seats away from the Democrats in Ohio by electing Orlando Sonza in the Ohio 1st District, Kevin Coughlin in the Ohio 13th and Derek Merrin in the Ohio 9th District. If we do this we will ENSURE that President Trump has the control of and support of, both branches of Congress so that he can implement OUR America First Agenda once elected through LEGISLATION - not just Executive Order. One final reminder, NO SIGNS should be produced in Ohio that are just Trump/ Vance Signs. NONE! EVERY SIGN MUST be Trump/Moreno!!! EVERY SIGN. Trump is going to win Ohio by at least 15%. Moreno is the one who needs the name recognition AND the affiliation with Trump! If you make signs put both Trump and Moreno on them! The "Redistricting" Ballot Initiative to Change Ohio's Constitution - is it good or bad? By Jon Morrow THE REPUBLICAN REFORMIST JUL 30 As Ohio gears up for another election cycle this November, the conversation around how we redraw our legislative and congressional districts in 2030 has reached a critical juncture. Voters will decide between two distinct redistricting approaches: the current Ohio Redistricting Commission and a proposed Citizens Redistricting Commission. Alternatively, there is another plan on the horizon that seems to have a lot of benefits that Ohioans like but it is not on the ballot yet. Though Ohio legislators could put the innovative weighted voting plan on the ballot if they were to act quickly - they are not likely to. Each system offers unique advantages and presents specific challenges. The Current Ohio Redistricting Commission The existing Ohio Redistricting Commission comprises seven members, including the Governor, the Auditor, the Secretary of State, and appointees from both major political parties. This commission is tasked with drawing the state's legislative and congressional districts every ten years following the U.S. Census. How It Works: Composition: Seven members from the executive branch and both political parties. Decision Making: A majority vote (4 out of 7 members) is required to pass a redistricting plan, necessitating bipartisan support. Criteria: Districts must be contiguous and comply with federal and state laws, ensuring nearly equal populations and avoiding undue favoritism towards any political party. Advantages: Experience and Balance: The involvement of seasoned political leaders ensures that the process benefits from their expertise and maintains a balance of power. Bipartisanship: The requirement for bipartisan support in decision-making aims to reduce extreme partisan gerrymandering. Challenges: Susceptibility to Manipulation: Despite the bipartisan structure, the process remains vulnerable to political influence and manipulation by insiders. Public Approval: With only a 39% approval rating, many Ohioans are dissatisfied with the transparency and fairness of the current system. The Proposed Citizens Redistricting Commission The proposed Citizens Redistricting Commission seeks to replace the current system with a 15-member citizen-led body designed to ensure a more open and independent redistricting process. This commission would include five members from each of the two major political parties and five independents. How It Works: Composition: Fifteen members—five from the largest political party, five from the second-largest, and five independents. Selection Process: Members are selected through an application process involving a bipartisan screening panel and a professional search firm to ensure impartiality. Decision Making: A supermajority vote (9 out of 15 members) is required to pass a plan, which must include votes from both major parties and independents. Advantages: Transparency and Inclusivity: The citizen-led commission aims to enhance transparency and public trust by involving ordinary citizens and increasing public participation. Fair Representation: By requiring the inclusion of independents, the system seeks to balance political interests and provide fair representation for all Ohioans. Challenges: Complexity and Resources: Establishing and maintaining the commission requires significant resources and a complex selection process. Political Resistance: Both Republicans and Democrats may have concerns about losing control and influence over the redistricting process. Republicans might fear decreased influence, while Democrats may worry about independents leaning conservatively. READ JON MORROW'S FULL ANALYSIS OF THIS PROPOSED AMENDMENT at [link removed]! They are a Trusted Partner and I ask you to Work with them Again this Year! The National Rifle Association has started contacting voters across the United States and urgently needs your help. We can only be successful in defending the Second Amendment with your active participation. No one else can do it for you. I'm sure you have seen the debates, news conferences, and, most recently, the attack on our former president. In any given year, these events would solidify support, but unfortunately, it has spurred a new wave of complacency. Some voters think it’s a guaranteed election win, while others are caught up in personalities and don't believe their vote is needed. In this polarized world, every vote is crucial and must be fought for to achieve success in November. At this time, we are looking for volunteers to canvass their own precincts. The NRA will provide access to the necessary technology and literature for distribution. You will be reaching out to voters who need a little extra encouragement to go out and vote. We must stay focused and not allow ourselves to get distracted by personalities or current events. Please text the following to get involved today!
