Team,
The United States Postal Service provides essential services for millions of Americans, but rightwing extremists have schemed to put it on the chopping block for years.
Now, they’re trying to exploit the pandemic to fulfill their wishes of COMPLETELY destroying the Postal Service.
Due to strains from the COVID-19 pandemic, USPS will run out of cash by the end of summer if Congress doesn’t take action -- and Donald Trump says he’ll veto any plans to save it.
The goal for Trump and many Republicans in Congress is to bankrupt USPS, then privatize it -- even though companies like UPS and FedEx also rely on the vast network and low costs of our postal service to carry out business.
Too many Americans depend on the Postal Service. We can’t let this happen. Haley needs 10,000 signers on her urgent petition demanding that Trump and his Administration fund USPS. Will you add your name?
Let’s look at this way: the United States Postal Service is as American as apple pie.
The local post office is a lifeline for communities. It provides good middle class jobs with benefits, an essential service that allows small businesses to thrive, and critical government communications like vote by mail ballots and census forms.
USPS provides critical infrastructure that allows our country -- from rural communities to large cities -- to build and stay connected. And right now, its 600,000 employees are doing so on the frontlines of a global health pandemic.
For the essential workers who continue to keep our economy running -- Haley needs your help. Please take a moment to sign her petition to save the United States Postal Service →
Thanks for using your voice,
Team Stevens
