Dear Friend,

We hope you're doing well! We know that this has not been the easiest week, especially with the horrible events in Nova Scotia feeling particularly close to home.

We've got a couple of great virtual events coming up that we wanted to share with you, including?our next episode of COVIDIY about how to grow your own microgreens, and an upcoming forum with Green Party leader Peter Bevan-Baker to "Dream forward" about the kind of future we want our Island to have after COVID-19.

Wednesday, April 29 @ 5pm: COVIDIY: Growing your own microgreens

Microgreens have been growing in popularity as a delicious and nutritious way to add greens to our daily diet. As more and more people look to grow at least part of their own food supply and learn new skills during the COVID-19 pandemic, not everyone has access to a garden plot - but ANYONE can grow their own microgreens right in their own kitchen!

Eddie Childs has been experimenting with growing microgreens at home and will share how you can do so, too! And, Sue Whitaker will return to provide a quick demonstration of how to easily sprout seeds inside a glass jar and have a jarful of delicious microgreens to eat within mere days!

Thursday, May 7th @7pm: Dreaming Forward: Choosing a Better Future for PEI After COVID-19

This spring, the world has changed before our very eyes - so much so that virtually everything we had accepted as "normal" before the pandemic is now open to question, re-evaluation and re-invention.

Just one year ago during the election, the Green Party of PEI asked Islanders to "Imagine something better". Today, we are renewing that call to imagine the better, stronger, and more resilient Island that we can become as we emerge from the current crisis.

Please join us on May 7, 2020? to share your ideas - and let's "dream forward" together!

Thank you, and we look forward to learning and dreaming with you soon! Have a great weekend!
