Dear John,

A couple of days ago, I recorded a video message right in my backyard to relay our current thoughts and planned actions during this COVID-19 shutdown, and a few of my own feelings about what's going on. Mainly, I want to know how you and your family are doing and get your input on what NIAC can do to better support your family and our community. 

Here’s my message—watch and share:

Like I mention in the video, we’ve been pressuring the Trump administration to suspend the sanctions hampering Iran's ability to effectively respond to today's global health crisis. COVID-19 is a shared threat and the world must work together to defeat it.

We’ve also been working to secure the release of Iranian professor Dr. Sirous Asgari, who remains unjustly detained by ICE and is at risk of contracting coronavirus. And we've been doing all of this while continuing our work to prevent a disastrous war with Iran. The world may have slowed as we try to defeat this pandemic but our work at NIAC is speeding up—especially our digital efforts.
