Friend,

Yesterday our State Chair Trav Robertson, Jr. wrote to tell you the South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP)  has joined with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to file a lawsuit in the South Carolina Supreme Court demanding absentee voting access be expanded.

South Carolina Democrats are making a significant investment in Voter Protection.

We’ve launched a year-round voter protection hotline so any voter can call and ask for assistance with voting.  Our hotline number is 1-855-785-0222!

The SCDP’s Voter Protection team has four members who have hit the ground running. We are proud to be partnered with FairFight an organization founded by Stacey Abrams with the goal to advocate for free and fair elections.

Our Voter Protection team works every day:

  • recruiting and assigning poll watchers for Election Day.
  • assembling lawyers to be on the ready to join our legal boiler room to protect voters
  • conducting trainings and workshops on various issues such as Absentee Voting and ballot access issues
  • providing answers and direction for voters who call the Voter Protection Hotline

I invite you to join us for to participate in our upcoming SCDP VoPro Webseries. Our webinars for the week of April 27, 2020 are as follows:
  • 4.28 - SCPD VoPro Webseries: Poll Watcher & Hotline Worker Program:  RSVP Here
  • 4.30 - SCDP VoPro Webseries: Absentee Voting - The Basics: RSVP Here

Many thanks to you for your support of the party as we work to keep our Democracy accessible and fair.

Stay Safe,

Shaundra Young Scott, Esq.
SCDP Voter Protection Director
