Hi John,

Running for office is always such a rewarding experience for me. I love talking to voters, learning what they care about, and finding ways to improve the quality of life for them and all the residents of our state.

But there’s one thing I’ve never liked about running – asking for money.

I don't believe money should play such an outsized role in who wins and loses. But regardless of how I feel about it, a critical piece of winning depends on raising awareness about my candidacy. Doing that takes resources, especially in a state as big and diverse as California.

That’s why I wanted to see if you can help, John. Our next major campaign fundraising deadline starts now. Anything you contribute right now helps us expand our reach and strengthen this campaign. Can you use the personalized link below to chip in $3 before midnight?

In these uncertain and chaotic times, we need strong leadership at the helm. As a two-term State Controller, I know what we’re capable of when we govern for results with fairness and integrity. And I know that together, we have the grit and the power to make California add up for everyone. That combined power is why your support today is so valuable.

If you can, please consider sending in a donation before midnight to help us reach even more voters next month. Here’s the link again to chip in: [link removed]

Thank you,

Betty
