Friend,
I am happy to report that my legislation, the Kids Online Safety Act, just passed the Senate 91-3. After almost four years of relentless effort, the first internet safety reform in nearly three decades garnered resounding bipartisan approval.

Over the course of working on this legislation, my colleagues and I heard heartbreaking stories from families across the country. Stories about how internet platforms cause harm to children and teens: body image issues, addictive use of technology, promotion of dangerous products, and the fueling of bullying and other destructive behaviors.
This legislation forces Big Tech to act to protect our kids and gives children and parents alike the tools, safeguards, and transparency they need to stay safe online.
In addition to its bipartisan passage in the Senate, the Kids Online Safety Act has been endorsed by over 250 organizations and associations. But we aren’t over the finish line yet. This legislation still needs to pass through the House of Representatives before going to President Biden’s desk for signature – and that’s why I’m reaching out for your help:
