Theresa understands the critical need of a strong Social Security system. As a young mother at 24 years old, Theresa lost her husband in a workplace accident. Her family relied on their Social Security survivor benefits and her late husband’s hard-earned union benefits to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads.
As a single mom, Theresa provided for her two boys, and eventually rose through the ranks to become president of a family-owned, small business in Iowa. Theresa has promised to fight for health care as a human right, expanding Social Security, and lowering prescription drug prices in the Senate! She will be better than Joni Ernst in every way.
