I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. I've had some time to reflect over the past few weeks, so I'm writing to you today to share a little bit about what's been on my mind.

Growing up on my family's farm, I never anticipated that I would one day run for the U.S. Senate. But after watching my opponent, Republican Senator Joni Ernst, ignore the needs of our families, I knew I couldn't sit on the sidelines any longer.

What started as a small group of supporters dedicated to putting everyday people first again, has grown into a strong grassroots team with the momentum needed to flip this seat and take back the Senate. It's because of the support of folks like you, friend, that Cook Political Report recently shifted this race in our favor and Politico called us "one of the most important races" of the year."

But to be honest, we're facing some major hurdles right now. Last quarter, our Republican opponent outraised us and Mitch McConnell's super PAC pledged to spend over $12 million to defeat us. That means we're starting this quarter off at a huge fundraising disadvantage, and we can't afford to fall further behind.

In just a few days, we're facing our end-of-month deadline. My team and I set a goal of raising $40,000. I'm not taking a dime of corporate PAC money, so I'm relying on folks like you to step up to help get us there.
