But Glenn Youngkin doesn’t care.

Bad news, friend.

Last week, Governor Glenn Youngkin announced he would be appointing Meg Scalia Bryce to the State Board of Education. Sound familiar? That’s because Meg is the youngest daughter of far-right former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia — and a failed candidate for the Albemarle school board in 2023.

Here are some of the things Meg has been up to recently:

  • Supporting the “Moms for Liberty” book-banning agenda
  • Denying the reality of systemic racism and criticizing legal protections for LGBTQIA+ students
  • Praising school vouchers that would divert money from Virginia public schools and send taxpayer funds to private schools

If that wasn’t bad enough, she even accepted campaign contributions from people who put up billboards filled with bigoted comments about Muslims and compared Abraham Lincoln to Vladimir Putin.

Friend, Virginia is known nationwide for our exceptional public schools — Meg Scalia Bryce doesn’t sound like the type of person who wants to keep us there.

Will you chip in to help us keep Virginia blue in 2024 and elect a Democrat as governor in 2025 so we can put an end to this nonsense? Our work is ongoing and we need to hit our fundraising goals each month to ensure we have the resources to WIN!

Thank you,

— Team DPVA
