Dear John,

She was shocked and terrified as this tall muscular male athlete entered her women’s locker room, and took off all of his clothes.  She was not given any notice ahead of time. No warning. Not even a simple word of caution. You can expect more of this if the Biden Administration’s new rules for the federal law “Title IX” are allowed to take effect on August 1st.

How? By attempting to redefine “sex” as more than male and female, but to include over 72 genders! This will be a disaster for women’s sports and the safety of our girls in the school locker room! Title IX was passed in 1972 to protect women in athletics, locker rooms, showers, and even protects their scholarships. However, just this month, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk issued an injunction against the new Title IX rule in Texas. That court decision came only moments after Judge Reed O’Connor ruled in favor of Carroll ISD in their lawsuit against the Biden administration. This makes Texas the 15th state with an injunction against this radical Title IX re-write!

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values said:

"Texas courts have given the Biden Administration a double-punch, knock-out victory for our girls in Texas. The new Title IX rule was clearly erroneous and would have deprived women and girls in our state of civil rights protections that have been in place for over 50 years. Today, the federal government learned an important lesson: you don't mess with Texas girls.

Your Texas Values team has been active on making sure that efforts to stop the Title IX rewrite were successful! We have been fighting the Title IX re-write from the beginning by submitting public comment to the United States government, creating a video series educating our supporters about the dangers of the new Title IX re-write, passing key legislation to protect women’s sports, and filing legal amicus briefs in the lawsuit filed by Carroll ISD. We also led parents, students, and citizens to speak out at a press conference and school board meeting at Carroll ISD to stand up against the re-write of Title IX.

While Texas has led the way in keeping our kids safe, other parts of the country are not so lucky and will be forced to implement this rule tomorrow, on August 1! But your Texas Values team is working to stop this on a national level too and we will not stop until common sense is restored in education. We might have an update on the national perspective very soon!

We cannot do this work without you! We need your generous support to stay in this fight! If you find value in our work please consider making a donation to help us with this fight and others!
