2. Hurricane Beryl Response Continues

Hurricane Beryl marked a historically early start to the Atlantic hurricane season, and became the earliest Category 5 on record in the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks to you, Americares was able to respond immediately, shipping urgently needed medical supplies to a partner clinic directly impacted by the storm, which left millions without power.
In Jamaica, Americares funds will help provide generators, deliver food and other critically needed items for the elderly, hire a community worker to share information about recovery services, and meet other urgent needs for over 3,500 residents.

3. Delivering Emergency Hygiene Kits in El Salvador
After days of heavy rain – with more storms in the forecast – lives have already been tragically lost from landslides, falling trees and collapsing buildings. Americares Emergency Response team in El Salvador responded immediately to deliver essential supplies, including 600 hygiene kits, to families who had fled to shelters for safety, and our work will continue in the uncertain days and weeks ahead.
