Friend, A.G. Holder was interviewed in TIME Magazine recently and I wanted to highlight something he said:
TIME: Should rethinking how we vote this year change the way we vote in the future?
Eric H. Holder, Jr.: Coronavirus gives us an opportunity to revamp our electoral system so that it permanently becomes more inclusive and becomes easier for the American people to access... These are changes that we should make permanent because it will enhance our democracy.

I love this idea! Of course, we should respond to a public health emergency by making sure that every eligible American is able to vote in 2020 -- and the NDRC and its affiliates are doing that by calling on states to expand early and no-excuse absentee voting, allow online and same-day voter registration, and provide safe and healthy polling places.
But voting should always be accessible, in 2020 and beyond. That means ending Republican voter suppression, making permanent changes to our elections, and increasing voter education so people know about the options available to them.
What do you think? Do you want to make voting more accessible, whether we're in the middle of a public health emergency or not? Then pitch in today to help us fight for it!
