Out of the 435 representatives who make up the House, I’m one of just three moms with a toddler-aged kid. Every day, I couldn’t be more proud to fight for my son and for millions of other young Americans whose futures depend on what we achieve as a nation today. Frankly, this kind of perspective and experience is underrepresented in Washington. And that shows in the way issues like affordable childcare and paid family leave have gone largely unaddressed for decades. I’m working to change that, and to fight for the needs of regular families like mine. We’re making progress, but there’s so much work still to do. And this election will determine whether we get the chance to do it. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
To me, this job is about delivering results. Throughout my time in Washington, I’ve secured almost $15 million for critical projects in the district to help families get ahead and thrive. I’ve delivered federal funds to CO-07 to address the housing crisis, support early childhood education programs like Head Start, and invest in our state’s public safety — because that’s the kind of committed leadership our district deserves. We’re also lucky enough to live in a state where women and families are allowed to make their own health care decisions — without politicians who seek to control our lives standing in the way. Since day one, I’ve worked to protect access to affordable care in all 50 states, including the right to access abortion care, IVF treatment, and contraception. Unfortunately, the Republican Party and their Project 2025 agenda are working around the clock to make life harder for regular families. They want to enact a national abortion ban to rip away choices from families. They want to abolish the Department of Education and take away resources from public schools. And a majority of House Republicans have endorsed a budget that calls for raising the retirement age to 69, denying millions of seniors the Social Security benefits they’ve earned. I will always stand up for Americans’ fundamental freedoms, no matter how many extremists are in my way. And I’ll never stop working to bring resources and relief to regular, hard-working families across the nation. After all, the actions we take today will impact the lives of Coloradans and Americans for generations to come. Thank you so much for everything you do, Brittany |
