John,
After 14 years of climate inaction, we finally have a government that are taking steps towards clean energy production.
But we know this needs to be matched by a commitment to decarbonising other crucial areas of our economy.
That means:
✅Investing in a nationwide home insulation programme to cut households' bills and emissions
✅Expanding - not axing - plans for sustainable transport such as local railway lines
✅An urgent transition away from North Sea oil and gas, including urgently cancelling climate-wrecking Rosebank oil and gas field
As Greens, we know that action on renewables fail unless they go hand in hand with a rapid transition away from oil and gas.
Only the Green Party has the political will to deal with the climate crisis - to axe oil and gas and ultimately decarbonise the whole economy.
Now that we have 4 Green MPs in parliament to push the government to act on this issue, will you stand with them, John?
