It’s hot out and the birds in your yard need water. It’s great to keep a bird bath in the yard but it’s also important to remember to clean it frequently. National Audubon suggests cleaning your birdbath by rinsing it out and then scrubbing it with nine parts water, one part vinegar. Skip the synthetic soaps and cleansers; they can strip the essential oils off of bird feathers. The water should be replaced every 2-4 days. Keeping it clean can also prevent the spread of diseases, both in birds and in other wildlife. Check out more tips here ([link removed]) .
