An interview of Vance resurfaced last week where he called the Democratic Party the party of “childless cat ladies.” When trying to defend that comment, he said it’s because our party is “anti-child and anti-family.”
Nonsense.
It was the Republican Party that let the expanded Child Tax Credit expire after the pandemic, plunging millions of American children back into poverty.
Vice President Kamala Harris was one of the original sponsors of Michael’s expanded Child Tax Credit. And, unlike JD Vance, she has championed it ever since.
JD Vance’s argument is not only weird but dead wrong.
