Hi John — with not a lot of time to waste, I promise I'll be quick:

Our End of Month Fundraising Deadline is tonight, and according to my team, we're still $4,091 short of meeting our online goal.

John, this is our final End of Month Fundraising Deadline before the primary, and meeting it is crucial for a few reasons:

1️⃣ I'm running in one of the most competitive congressional districts in the entire country — meeting this goal is key to getting my pro-safety, pro-choice message out to as many voters as possible and defeating vulnerable MAGA Republican John James.

2️⃣ Ahead of the primary, reaching this goal helps us expand the budget to ramp up our field efforts and keep my abortion story up on the airwaves in front of as many folks as possible.

3️⃣ My team and I are working like hell to make sure folks have the resources and information they need to vote, and your support helps us make sure we can get them to the polls!

John, I don't mean to worry you, but I can't stress this enough: meeting this last goal could mean the difference between winning and losing next Tuesday.

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
