Indivisibles,
Since Kamala Harris launched her campaign, there’s been a groundswell of
energy across the country. People are excited about her historic candidacy
and her bold agenda: defending democracy, restoring reproductive rights,
and building an economy that works for all of us. But we know a future
President Harris can’t deliver this on her own -- she needs a Democratic
Congress backing her up.
That’s why Indivisibles are organizing to help Democrats win up and down
the ballot, and one of the most crucial races is taking shape in Arizona.
After yesterday’s primary, it’s confirmed Democrat Ruben Gallego will face
off against MAGA extremist Kari Lake in the Grand Canyon State’s Senate
race. We endorsed Gallego back in February because we knew he was the best
candidate to beat Lake, but we also know this race is about more than just
holding on to our Senate majority.
We need Democrats who are willing to go to bat for us. We all saw Kyrsten
Sinema sit on her hands while Republicans worked to strip away our rights.
Now, with Gallego on the ballot, we can replace her with a real Democrat
who has a record of fighting MAGA extremism and who has committed to
reforming the filibuster to codify reproductive rights.
Indivisibles are organizing in every county across Arizona to help Harris
and Gallego win in November. But we can’t do this work without you. Our
volunteers are already calling voters, knocking on doors, and mobilizing
their neighbors. [ [link removed] ]The best way to support them is by donating, so we can
ensure they have everything they need to get out the vote.

Arizona’s Senate race is a real opportunity -- but there’s also a real
risk. The alternative to Gallego is Kari Lake: a Trump-endorsed,
election-denying, anti-abortion extremist. Lake has called abortion “the
ultimate sin,” and she cheered on efforts to reinstate a near-total ban in
Arizona that dates back to 1864. Her extreme views cost her the
gubernatorial election in 2022, the year that was supposed to be a red
wave (though she still has not accepted the results of that election).
Lake has since tried to run from her own record and, like Trump, she’s
willing to lie about her stance on abortion to get elected. It’s up to us
to remind voters -- including those who didn’t follow the election in 2022
-- that Lake is a threat to our rights and our democracy.
Gallego is already campaigning against Lake’s extreme anti-abortion views,
but speeches and ads from an elected Democrat won’t be enough. Over a
third of Arizonans are registered Independents -- a voting bloc that is
especially skeptical of parties and politicians. To reach these voters, we
need messengers they trust: their friends and neighbors.
Indivisibles are using tools like Neighbor2Neighbor to reach voters in
ways traditional campaigns can’t. But we need your help to recruit new
volunteers, get them talking to their neighbors about the stakes of the
election, and support their GOTV efforts. [ [link removed] ]All of this work requires
