Our party has quite a few initiatives and projects we’re working on to build the long-term infrastructure Colorado Democrats will need to win elections everywhere, recruit the best candidates and volunteers, and keep voters engaged year-round.
With our July fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, I thought I’d let you know where your donation will be going over these next couple of months.
Delivering Colorado’s 10 Electoral Votes to Kamala Harris - From recruiting volunteers to registering new voters, one of our party’s most crucial tasks is ensuring that we energize and turn out Democrats this November.
The Colorado County Comeback - Only 34% of Colorado’s county commissioners are Democrats. Our party needs to do a better job of winning local elections, and that’s exactly what we are doing with the Colorado County Comeback. It’s our strategic initiative to help elect Democrats at the local level and support our rural county parties, in particular.
The Democracy Defenders Fund – There are seventeen State Legislative races that will be crucial for us to win if we want to protect our majorities in the state legislature. This fund helps support the seventeen Democrats in our state’s top battleground races.
The Horizon Project – Colorado's newest Congressional District, the 8th Congressional District, is also our most competitive. The Horizon Project is our deep-canvassing initiative that is working to engage voters and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in CD-8.
The Colorado Green Wave – We’re mobilizing on college campuses across the state, especially in rural areas, to make sure that young people can learn about our candidates, our Party’s efforts to fight climate change and protect public lands, and then channel their energy in making a positive change in their communities – and at the ballot box.
