Shedding Light on Hunger and Community Needs
Hunger too often goes unseen, but from our kids to veterans it's around us. Congressman Kim has prioritized tackling hunger in Congress, including through his Summer Meals REACH Act to expand children’s access to nutrition assistance over the summer and his Enhanced Cybersecurity for SNAP Act to protect the SNAP benefits families rely on to put food on the table.
Many families first experienced hunger during the pandemic, but are still struggling today. The impact of COVID-19 relief demonstrates the clear need for permanent solutions. From defending programs like SNAP, lowering everyday costs, and looking out for the needs of local food pantries and programs tirelessly serving our state every day, we are working to end hunger and deliver more vital help to New Jersey families.

Do you have a copy of your DD-214?
If you do not have a copy of your DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), you should request a copy from the National Archives and Records Administration since it can take up to 6-12 months to receive. DD-214s are necessary to apply for many of the benefits you are eligible for as a veteran. If you don’t have your DD-214, medical treatment can be delayed for a long time. If you have questions about this, you can contact our office here.

On July 25th, JBMDL hosted a Senior Noncommissioned Officer Induction (SNCO) ceremony. The ceremony is a traditional rite of passage used by SNCOs to express the special pride felt when newly promoted sergeants reach the highest rank in the VAT Corps.
