G.I. Joes and Legos don’t normally show the scars you get from being burned alive in an IED attack in Afghanistan and enduring dozens of surgeries and years of rehab.

 

I say this in no uncertain terms: weak leadership in the Senate and Oval Office, without fail, leads to American soldiers being hurt.

 

I want you to look at my face, not because I’m asking for sympathy. But because I want you to know the high cost of war.
