If not, here's why it's so critically important:

Every ten years, the federal government is mandated by the Constitution to count every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories. The results determine the distribution of resources and representation in Congress and state legislatures.

The response to the 2020 Census will significantly impact our lives, including how funding for infrastructure, schools, emergency services, and more are allocated here in Pennsylvania for the next ten years.

Here are a few things to remember:

All residents, regardless of immigration status, should not be afraid to participate. The Trump administration was fighting to put a question about people's U.S. citizenship status on the census, but the U.S. Supreme Court blocked it.

All answers you provide in the 2020 Census are kept confidential. They cannot be used against you by any government agency or court.

For non-English speakers or for people whose first language is something other than English, the U.S. Census Bureau offers guides in 59 languages. Click here for links to print and video guides.

Pennsylvania's response rate to the 2020 Census is at 52.9%, so we still have a long way to go. But with your help, we can get close to 100%:
