BJS has released" Tribal Crime Data Collection Activities, 2024", the 14th in a series that began in 2011 to meet its Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010 annual reporting requirement. This report summarizes BJS’s tribal crime data collection activities from August 2023 to July 2024 and describes BJS's efforts, in consultation with Indian tribes, to develop and implement the Tribal Justice Statistics Program [ [link removed] ]. These efforts include creating a 10-year strategic plan and consulting with tribal nations and federal partners on the implementation of a tribal justice data collection system for the 2024 Census of Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies [ [link removed] ] and 2024 Census of Tribal Court Systems [ [link removed] ].
