JD Vance said America must "go to war" against the idea that women don't have to have kids
Speaking to The Federalist in 2021, Republican vice presidential candidate and man definitely rooting for the wrong characters in The Handmaid's Tale shared his thoughts on women choosing not to have children and actually said out loud for other people to hear, "You're going to be a sad, lonely, pathetic person, and you're going to know it internally." Vance, who would be one Big Mac-induced heart attack away from the presidency should Donald Trump manage to win in November, clearly sees women as little more than birthing vessels and is surprisingly candid in letting the world know it. Let's definitely remember in November. [RETWEET THAT!]

Trump loses big endorsement on national TV
If it feels like the bottom has fallen out of the Trump campaign, this latest endorsement isn't going to do the MAGA cult leader any favors. Fred Trump, Donald's nephew and an outspoken advocate for people with disabilities, went on ABC's The View and forcefully backed Kamala Harris' campaign, even vowing to campaign for her if asked. This comes on the heels of Fred Trump's shocking revelation that, following a meeting in the Oval Office with disability advocates, the serial fraudster told him bluntly that, "these people (with disabilities), all the expenses...they should just die." But wait, there's more. A few years later Donald literally told Fred he should just let HIS OWN SON die because of his physical disabilities. Let's hear it for the Republican Party's FaMiLy VaLuEs, y'all. Unbelievable.

McConnell plots to use election-denier to retake Senate
Ruben Gallego for Senate: Mitch McConnell will stop at nothing to retake the Senate, even if that means giving power to one of the most radical of Trump’s election-denying, democracy-threatening acolytes, Kari Lake. Her election lies helped spark the mob attack on January 6th and has even called for gun violence if Trump gets convicted of his crimes. This November, she'll be running against star Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego, and it's on all of us to help Ruben ensure that Kari Lake never sees the inside of the Senate. Will you chip in to protect our Senate majority and elect Ruben Gallego?
Marco Rubio dragged over sad comeback to "weird" attack on Republicans
The Florida Republican and reformed Trump boot licker did his best to come up with a retort to the Democrats' wildly effective "weird" barb that has the thin-skinned GOP up in arms and he did himself — and his party — zero favors in the process. "They called us weird so I'll call them weirder. That’s what I used to do back in high school," Rubio said, confirming that, yes, he definitely knows what it's like to be swirlied.

New leak exposes SCOTUS rift over Trump immunity case
Taking an extreme stance on presidential immunity from the start, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts made no move to negotiate with his more liberal colleagues on the Trump case, according to a new report from CNN. The network reported Tuesday that Roberts didn't even attempt to persuade the three liberals on the bench to join the majority, all but abandoning the principle of compromise that has ostensibly guided the high court on similar cases in the past. Instead, Roberts “believed he could persuade people to look beyond Trump,” as CNN put it. Look beyond Trump, eh? That might be a little easier to do if the highest court in the land wasn't rolling out the red carpet for the convicted felon and playing democracy-busting kingmaker in the process.

Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh killed in Tehran as Iran vows revenge against Israel
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Iran after attending the inauguration of the country’s new president, Iran and the militant group said early Wednesday. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the assassination but suspicion quickly fell on Israel, which has vowed to kill Haniyeh and other leaders of Hamas over the group’s Oct. 7 attack that killed 1,200 people and saw some 250 others taken hostage.
Ted Cruz sends hearing on Trump shooting into chaos
As expected, the Senate hearing on Donald Trump’s assassination attempt got heated with Republicans salivating for a precious few performative minutes in front of the cameras. Secret Service acting Director Ronald Rowe testified Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary and the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees about security failures at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Ted Cruz, of course, escalated the hearing and made it a partisan affair, yelling and interrupting Rowe as he spoke. “Stop interrupting me,” Cruz barked at one point after repeatedly cutting Rowe off. Grandstanders gonna grandstand.

JD Vance writes glowing foreword to Project 2025 leader’s upcoming book
The disgraced ex-president may be doing his damnedest to belatedly distance his campaign from the 900-page, far-right, nightmare manifesto his MAGA cronies cooked up for a second Trump term, but Donald's newly minted No. 2 sure is making it hard to create daylight between the Republican Party and their radioactive playbook to send America back to the 19th century. Vance penned a glowing foreword in key Project 2025 architect Kevin Roberts' upcoming new book and wholeheartedly endorsed The Heritage Foundation president's deeply dangerous ideas, calling them a "jarring" path forward for conservatives. Roberts, a member of the radical Catholic Opus Dei sect and man with a penis who literally wants to outlaw birth control altogether, recently made headlines when he appeared on convicted felon Steve Bannon's "War Room" Podcast and said the country is "in the process of the second American revolution, which will remain bloodless... if the left allows it to be." Vance's praise includes this little nugget: "It’s fine to take a laissez-faire approach when you are in the safety of the sunshine. But when the twilight descends and you hear the wolves, you've got to circle the wagons and load the muskets." Let's definitely talk more about the need to dial down the rhetoric on the left, though.
New report details terrifying threat of Trump’s election deniers
At least 70 pro–Donald Trump election denialists are working as election officials in key swing states, according to a report published Monday from Rolling Stone and the right-wing extremism research newsletter American Doom. Officials who had promoted election conspiracy theories were identified in at least 16 counties in six swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Across these swing states, Trump loyalists stand ready to disrupt the results of democratically held elections — at least 22 of them have already refused or delayed certification in recent years, indicating likely chaos in November. Republicans have even begun fighting for the right to refuse to certify elections based on absolutely nothing. Buckle up, it's gonna be bumpy.
